Okay, are you ready for this? The past week or so in photos? Here’s your update!
The above three water-leaf photos are from the weekend before halloween. I went to my grandpa’s cabin with my parents. I took a lot of different photos, but I particularly liked these three. I love water and leaves.
A week ago today, I had a photoshoot with Kristina for my personality project. We went to Starbucks for it. The lighting in there was really tricky, but I managed to get a few images that I can work with. She’s so fun.
This is outside my front door. We have a glorious maple tree right outside and I’ve really been enjoying it so far through summer and fall.
This is another photo from outside my front door. I combined my Holga fish eye lens with my camera phone. Love combining camera technologies.
Kathy and I did a photoshoot last Thursday outside in those glorious leaves from that glorious maple tree. It was really cool to see an angel figure in the leaves – a fun alternative to a snow angel. We had a lot of fun goofing off.
That same night I met Paula for her photoshoot/part in my personality photo project. We didn’t really know what to do. It was definitely the most challenging shoot yet.
The next morning, which was Friday, I met with Derek at his house and we did a shoot. It started out slow, but once he started letting his personality shine, we got some really fun images.
Two of my friends, a mother and a daughter, went sky diving on Saturday. I am so jealous. It would be a dream come true if one day I became a sky diving photographer. Oh I think I would love it!!
These two photos are from Kristina’s dress rehearsal last night. Her parents hired me to take portraits of her three times — head shots, dress rehearsal, and after-recital shots. She sings so beautifully. I got chills. She said I could come part way through the recital since I have already seen her perform, but I enjoyed the dress rehearsal so I think I’ll see the recital from the beginning. I am looking forward to getting paid. They are being quite generous. I am flattered.
Wes and I met this afternoon for a photoshoot… if you thinking that I have been doing a lot of photoshoots and photos, etc., you are right. I am a photo taking crazy person this semester. This project is definitely keeping me busy and I am really excited to see how it turns out. It’ll be fun to read all the blurbs that the people are going to send to me to go with their photos. One thing I have found really interesting is the psychological aspect – how each person struggles to define themselves. We go through the days just doing what comes natural to us without a second thought and now my friends are having to figure out who they are and why they do what they do.
The million dollar question is: Who am I?
