Who is taking care of you?

This fall, a UVA Health System colleague has hired me once again to come to her clinic and capture headshots of her co-workers during brief morning sessions. The purpose is to add more 4×6 prints to a photo board we created last year that hangs in the waiting room. The board helps patients know their care team better by enabling them to put names and faces together. I have to say I am impressed with how photogenic this team is!

I am honored to have the opportunity to once again learn, grow and challenge myself as a photographer. Normally I am a natural-light photographer, so getting to use a light set is a part of this learning process.

Over the weekend, after taking another look at my blog site and portfolio site, I realized maybe I should be the one in front of the camera! I am just as camera shy, if not more so, as some of the people I have photographed over the past year and a half. But in being shy, I have very few professional-quality photos. My LinkedIn profile does not show me with my current haircut. Maybe my New Years resolution for 2018 will be to step in front of the camera for a change.

I have another session so stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by today.
