Not much has happened over my winter break with photography. I’ve barely touched my DSLR. I did get to use my friend’s new Canon 60D camera at her New Years Eve party, which was a delight. I am a bit jealous and partly perplexed. She’s not a serious photographer and yet she got a really nice professional camera and lens for Christmas. Below are some photos from the event:

I was just pointing and shooting for the most part. The white balance is a bit off, but I don’t have the files to edit and make pretty – I pulled these photos from my friend’s facebook profile. I am thinking I will upgrade my camera and lens soon; I will probably upgrade to a nicer lens first.
