Scanned Negatives

I scanned in a bunch of 35mm negatives Thursday night. I really love b&w film. I was going to post a bunch of them here and then my internet went out. I’ll pick a few… and spare you the rest (which can be seen on my Flickr photostream). My dream would be to become a professional film photographer. I really prefer working with film than to digital processes.

I thought this was really dramatic with the highlights and shadows. Something I love about Virginia Creeper is that its tendrils look like mini squiggly gecko hands.

I liked the sliver of light along the lush bank line.

In this one, I am drawn to the gradations in this one and the textures of the pages.

This photo and the one above it is from my first personality project photoshoot. To see more, in both b&w film and color digital, go to my Flickr photostream.

I love turkey tail lichen. I think it’s beautiful. You are unable to see it in this photo, but in real life, it has a lot of beautiful colors all striped together.

I like all the different textures in tree bark and what grows on it. You can see lichen growing on this trunk.
