I am still working towards my goal of having a completed “Shapes and Spaces of Charlottesville” project by 2014 – at the very least, a first installment. As many of you may know by now, I have been exploring different parts of my town and photographing my interpretation of shapes and spaces in each of the areas. This project arose as I was walking through Belmont as part of a CPI photowalk back in the winter. It has taken its own form over the year and has given me a reason to visit new places and see things differently.
My current compilation is in the form of a book where I am pairing images according to spatial relationships that I see. The above images in this post are not paired in any special way, but are instead some of my favorite images from this year. I hoping to add this project this weekend by exploring a new section of town with my camera. So I hope you will stay posted to learn more about Charlottesville!
Although I do shoot portraits for couples, families, and individuals – I also fill my time with street photography projects. Other cities I have visited this year with my cameras are Washington, DC and Richmond. I hope to visit Charlotte, NC sometime next year and possibly other cities such as NYC and Chicago.
Thank you for stopping by today!
